April 24th, 2010 admin Patna (www.patnadaily.com) : For the first time in the nearly 100 years of the history of Patna High Court, a woman will occupy the highest chair of the state’s judiciary bench after the Supreme Court of India appointed Rekha M. Doshit as the Chief Justice of the Patna High Court.
Doshit, who is currently serving the Gujarat High Court, will take charge from the current Chief Justice Dipak Mishra who was transferred to the Delhi High Court following a Supreme Court directive.
The decision to make Doshit the Chief Justice of Patna High Court was taken at a meeting of the Supreme Court collegium presided over by the Supreme Court Chief Justice K. G. Balakrishnan.

Bangalore blast at Chinnaswamy Stadium
April 17th, 2010 admin The blast on gate no 12 of Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore has delayed IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians match by 15 minutes.
Also the match has been reduced to 15-15 over match in place of regular 20-20 over match. The toss for the match slated for 3.30 PM also got delayed due to blast.
